Answers on moving your mail, bounces, away mode, aliases, passkeys, custom domains and billing. Real people in Bologna reply within one working day.
Move your mail from Gmail, Outlook, iCloud or Yahoo
Go to Settings → Come home, choose your old provider and sign in there. Rondinemail asks only for permission to read and copy your mail, and that permission is removed automatically as soon as the move is finished.
Mail, contacts and folders arrive in the background. Most mailboxes are home in under an hour; a decade of Gmail can take an evening. You can read and send from Rondinemail the whole time, and we email you when the last message has landed.
Gmail labels become folders, starred messages stay starred, and your sent mail keeps its original dates, so search works exactly as you expect.
Keep your old address working
Turn on forwarding at your old provider and new mail keeps finding you. Settings → Come home → Forwarding shows the exact steps for Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and Yahoo, with screenshots.
Forwarded mail is labelled with the address it was sent to, so you always know which door it came through. Reply as usual and your answer goes out from your @rondinemail.com address, or pick your old address in the From menu if you’ve verified it.
There’s no rush. Many people keep forwarding on for months and hand out their new address a few contacts at a time.
Bring your contacts home
Contacts come over automatically when you move your mail with Come home. To add contacts from somewhere else, open Contacts → Import and choose a vCard (.vcf) or CSV file.
Duplicates are merged by email address, and nothing is overwritten without asking: if two cards disagree, we keep both details and show you the difference.
Why did my message come back?
Rondinemail checks the address before your message leaves. If it can’t be delivered, the message returns within seconds and tells you why in plain words: a typo in the domain, a mailbox that’s full, or an account that no longer exists.
When we can spot the likely fix, such as gmial.com instead of gmail.com, you’ll see a Fix it button. Tap it, check the address, and send again. Your message and attachments are kept exactly as you wrote them.
If a message is accepted but the other side rejects it later, we still bring it home with the reason translated from server-speak into a sentence you can act on.
Schedule a message
Tap the clock next to Send and choose a time, or pick one of the suggestions like “Tomorrow, 8:00”. Scheduled messages wait in the Scheduled folder.
You can change the time, edit the message or cancel it right up until it leaves. Times follow your own time zone, even if you’re travelling.
Create an alias
An alias is an extra address that lands in the same nest, like giulia.shop@rondinemail.com for online orders. Nido includes three; Casa and Stormo include as many as you like.
Go to Settings → Addresses → New alias. You can reply from any alias, and switch one off whenever it starts attracting junk. Mail sent to a switched-off alias goes back to the sender with a polite note.
Set up away mode
Go to Settings → Away mode, choose your dates and write your reply, or start from one of our templates in English or Italian. Away mode switches itself on and off on the dates you set.
Each person who writes gets your reply once per trip, not every time, and mailing lists never get one at all.
Choose what away mode holds back
By default, newsletters, promotions and notifications from apps and services wait until you’re back. Mail from people arrives as usual.
Change this in Settings → Away mode → What waits. Mark any sender “Always through” (your bank, your child’s school) and their mail reaches you wherever you are.
Come back to a tidy inbox
At 8:00 on the morning you’re back, held mail is delivered in order and grouped by sender, so a week of newsletters becomes a short list you can open or clear in one go.
Came home early? Switch away mode off and everything that was waiting arrives straight away.
Set up a passkey
Go to Settings → Security → Passkeys and choose Add passkey. Your phone or computer asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock, and that’s it: no password to type next time.
Add a passkey on each device you use. Your password still works as a backup, and you can remove a passkey from the same page if you lose a device.
Reset a forgotten password
Choose Forgot? on the sign-in page and enter your Rondinemail address. We send a 6-digit code to the recovery email or phone on your account. It expires after 15 minutes.
Enter the code, choose a new password, and every other device is signed out for your safety. No recovery details on file? Write to aiuto@rondinemail.com from any address and we’ll help you prove the nest is yours.
Use your own domain
On Casa and Stormo, go to Settings → Domains → Add domain. We show the exact MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records to copy into your domain provider, with guides for the popular ones.
Most domains are ready within 15 minutes. Your @rondinemail.com address keeps working alongside, and you can send from either.
Export or delete your data
Go to Settings → Privacy → Export to download your mail as MBOX and your contacts as vCard. Large exports are prepared in the background and we email you a download link.
To close your account, choose Close account on the same page. Your mail is deleted within 30 days, and we keep forwarding new mail to the address you choose, free, until you ask us to stop.
Change or cancel your plan
Go to Settings → Plan. Upgrades apply straight away and you only pay the difference for the days left. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing period.
Yearly plans cancelled within 14 days are refunded in full. After that, a cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then becomes free Nido. Your address and mail are never touched.
Add people to your Stormo
Go to Settings → Stormo → Invite and enter an email address for each person. They choose their own @rondinemail.com address and password; you never see their mail.
Stormo is €5 per person a month, or €50 per person a year, on one bill. Remove someone and they keep their address on free Nido, with all their mail.
Get an invoice
Every payment comes with an invoice in Settings → Billing → Invoices, and a copy by email. Add your company name and VAT number there and future invoices will include them.
