What does “an address for life” really mean?
Your @rondinemail.com address is yours for as long as you want it, on every plan, free Nido included. We never hand it to anyone else, even years after you leave. If you do close your account, we keep forwarding new mail to wherever you land, free, until you tell us to stop.
How does return to sender know a message won’t land?
Before a message leaves, Rondinemail checks that the recipient’s domain exists and accepts mail. If something is wrong (a typo like gmial.com, a full mailbox, a closed account), the message flies back within seconds with a plain explanation and, where we can spot it, the likely fix. No more decoding a “550 5.1.1” bounce an hour later.
How long does it take to bring my old mail home?
Most mailboxes move over in under an hour. A really big one, say fifteen years of Gmail, can take an evening. You can read and send from Rondinemail straight away while the flock carries the rest in the background, with folders and contacts included.
Do I have to give up my Gmail or Outlook address?
No. Turn on forwarding at your old provider and everything keeps landing in your Rondinemail nest. We label forwarded mail with the address it was sent to, so you can move your contacts over gradually, or never.
What does away mode hold back, and what still gets through?
Newsletters, shop promotions and app notifications wait quietly until you’re home. Mail from real people still arrives, and each person gets your auto-reply once, not every time they write. The morning you’re back, the held mail lands in order, grouped by sender.
Is Nido really free forever? What’s the catch?
No catch and no ads. Nido gives you one address, 10 GB, three aliases, return to sender, away mode and forwarding for life, for as long as you like. It’s paid for by the people on Casa and Stormo who want their own domain or room for the whole family.
Does anyone at Rondinemail read my email?
No. Spam filtering and tracker removal happen automatically on our own servers in Bologna and Milan. No person reads your mail and nothing is ever scanned for advertising. The only exception is when you ask our team for help and grant access yourself, and that access expires on its own.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Casa and Stormo. Add a domain you own and we show you the exact DNS records to copy across. Most people are receiving mail at ciao@theirname.it within 15 minutes, and their @rondinemail.com address keeps working alongside it.
What happens to my mail if I leave?
You take all of it with you. Export your mail as MBOX and your contacts as vCard from Settings → Privacy whenever you like. When you close your account we delete your mail within 30 days, and keep forwarding new messages to your new home, free.
